You may have read that Qustodio, Norton, and Bark cannot be deleted
Let's be honest:
Kids can easily bypass Qustodio, Norton, Bark, and other parental control apps that allegedly cannot be deleted.
The truth is, 99% of the advice about parental control apps is biased (authors are offered commissions on the app they sell)... or uneducated (authors aren't tech-savvy enough to know what they're talking about).
That's why, even when the apps they "highly recommend" are set up correctly (admin privilege, settings blocked…), I've bypassed them quite easily, as kids do.
Kids don't even need to delete the apps
I easily found a way not to notify a parent app even though I was on porn websites (and stared at some titties, yay). Same for the screen time limits.
Don't get me wrong, these parental controls do their best. They're just not enough if your kids are smart.
Now, don't despair
There are actually two ways to set up foolproof parental controls
Even though I'm a techie, I've banged my head against the wall for MONTHS trying to find a foolproof parental control solution.
Every time I thought I had found it, I came up with a way to bypass it.
But I've finally found a solution. Actually, two. There is one for Android devices, and one for iPhones and iPads.
None of my attemps to bypass them have worked:
Battery optimization, factory reset, VPN, guest user, deletion, etc. Even a jailbreak won't do the trick.
(You read that right: the developer settings are blocked, so, no jailbreak.)
